EYE
WIDE
Eye Wide Open is a photographic journey through Japan — from Tokyo to Hokkaido — exploring impermanence, memory, and the act of truly seeing.
Opening with the Buddhist phrase 諸行無常 (“all things are impermanent”) and closing with 物の哀れ (a quiet awareness of the beauty in transience), the book moves through light, people, abstraction, and reflection. What begins as attraction to spectacle slowly becomes something quieter — a practice of attention.
Across 170 pages, the book progresses through six chapters.
